If cancellation is necessary, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice (more when possible) for any scheduled 8AM appointment. If you do need to cancel, please call or email as soon as possible within our normal business hours. Messages received after 4:30pm are considered the next business day. Cancellations within 24 business hours of your scheduled appointment are subject to an $85 cancellation fee, depending on circumstances.
We ask you to realize that when you forget your appointment or fail to cancel with enough advance notice, we miss out on an opportunity to fill an 8AM timeslot. These appointments are in high demand.
If you wish to reschedule and that appointment is kept, we will waive the cancellation fee.
Our 8AM appointments are highly desired. If you have a guaranteed 8AM appointment, you will receive a courtesy reminder email 1 to 2 days prior to confirm your appointment. If the electrician is unable to make contact with you, whether in person or on the phone within 30 minutes of arriving at your home or business, this will be considered a missed appointment and will result in a charge of a $85.
Many business will charge the full amount of the scheduled service. We are a small, single-owner business, not a large corporation. This fee attempts to recoup the cost for our lost time and a timeslot that was not used.
All invoices are due upon receipt. If you have any questions regarding your invoice, we urge you to contact the office immediately to avoid late fees, etc. (See "Fees" section below).
Contacting us sooner rather than later helps resolve any issues/questions you might have and allows us to work together to resolve any outstanding concerns.
A late fee of 5% (or a minimum charge of $15.00) will apply after 20 days from the invoice date and every subsequent 14 days thereafter. Accounts that are 45+ days overdue will be turned over to collections and/or in certain instances, a mechanic's lien will be filed.
There is a $30 processing fee for any returned check, in addition to any applicable bank fees.
Nordeast Electric, Inc. guarantees our workmanship for 1 year (365 days) from date of service. This includes any parts and/or materials installed by Nordeast Electric. If any material(s) supplied by Nordeast Electric fail within 365 days from installation, we will make the necessary repairs or replace parts including: fixtures, outlets, switches or breakers as needed for no additional charge.
Certain types of breakers have a lifetime manufacturer's warranty and will we advise you at time of service if your breakers are included in this coverage.
